When writing an email to an address with only numbers in its sub-domain, the send-button stays inactive and cannot be pressed.

In our country many schools have email-Addresses that have subdomains with numbers only (xxx@123456.nrw.schule). If one tries to send an email to somebody with such an address, the send-button cannot be pressed. Apparently the email-address is not recognized and accepted as such. Interestingly one can reply to somebody with this address, although his address will be not displayed in the To:-field.

    Betrifft pEp for iOS:

Hey, hope its OK to reply in English, as generally we wanna keep the conversation in this forum on English if possible. Just let me know then I'll add a German version, too!
(Hoffe es ist es OK wenn ich auf Englisch antworte, bitte sag' einfach kurz Bescheid wenn nicht, dann schreibe ich nochmal eine deutsche Version hinterher!)

Thanks for that finding! Just quickly tested on Android, there it works fine, can you confirm? Will test on all other pEp Clients and then we'll add a bug-fix to the iOS Team (or other affected teams, in case...)

From the support team, Mr. Sheikh, I already got this answer some time ago:

„Thanks to point us this bug. Our development team already working on it. In coming pEp version this bug will be resolved.“

But since this bug prevents us from using pEp and its mitigation is very important to us, I decided to ask here again. For somebody who knows the source code, it should be quite simple to fix this bug. I guess, some regEx validation has to be adapted.

@sva: Sorry, I cannot confirm whether the android-version also is affected. I don‘t have pEp installed on android. I can confirm the bug still affects the iOS-Version of pEp.

OK, thank you very much for your commitment! Great news that the developers are working on this bug and a new version is coming soon.
    Thanks again!

Hey, so it took a bit longer, but now we just released the new version into the store. Apple now takes usually at least a day or two (or three %)) to actually have it showing up in the store, but as you're urgently waiting for it I thought I'll give you a hint to keep an eye on it sunday eve / monday morning. Thanks again so much for reporting!
