Feature list for Android lists "Compatibility with OpenPGP (as a p≡p user you can communicate with users that use OpenPGP)"

"To conclude, Autocrypt is a specification and thus could be implemented by the PEP products. Several Autocrypt community members would consider changes to the specification if this would help PEP to adopt Autocrypt like several other mail apps already do." from Autocrypt FAQ.

I think without supporting Autocrypt that claim is very deceptive, as currently PEP cannot send mail to an autocrypt capable client like K9 mail for android or Delta Chat even though they share the public key via autocrypt headers.

So please add support for autocrypt so we can easily send encrypted mails to clients capable of Autocrypt.

    Hey Praveen,

nice to "see" you again here! For your question, we tried to support autocrypt from the beginning (and where also part of their founding efforts) but their specs were changing on-and-on so that we gave up after a while. Maybe meanwhile its stable enough to be worth looking into it again, we'll put it on our list! Thanks for the hint!

Hi sva, nice to see you as well! This is a small world :) Thanks for your reply and hope we can fix this incompatibility soon. Its really irritating when this basic level of interoperability is missing due to lack of collaboration between different projects. The FAQ at Autocypt gave an impression that PEP was not implementing it, but they are open to changes that can help PEP's adoption of autocrypt.
